Instructions for care How to keep cut tulips fresh Cut the tie surrounding the tulips stems Trim just the tips of the stems and keep just enough water in the vase to maintain the tulips (around 5cm). If you add too much water, it will accelerate the tulips’ growth and make the stems droop. Like most bulbs, tulips continue to grow by several centimetres after they’ve been cut and placed in a vase. Add a little water every day
